Online Booking

In Lanarkshire, some sexual health appointments can be booked via the online booking system. For all other appointments not included in the list below, please call the appointment line on 0300 303 0251 (Monday – Thursday 8am–5.45pm and Friday 8am–4pm). We are also able to offer home STI testing kits which are bookable online, please see full details below.

At the moment, patients are only able to book online for:

• Contraceptive Coil (IUD/IUS) – Removal
• Contraceptive Coil (IUD/IUS) – Insertion / Removal & Insertion (appointments limited online)
• Contraception – Discuss all my options
• Contraception – Repeat prescription for contraceptive pills
• Contraceptive Implant – Removal / Insertion / Removal & Insertion
• Contraception – I need a repeat prescription (This is for patients who require a REPEAT DEPO-PROVERA CONTRACEPTION INJECTION.  Patients will have been advised at their last appointment when to book for this)
• STI test, Express ‘no talk’ clinic – Female patients only with no symptoms

Passcode

Patients on our waiting lists may be sent an SMS (text) which will include a Passcode and their NaSH number to book online. If using a mobile phone, scroll down to “Passcode – I have a passcode”, which is the last option on the online booking system list. Then enter the passcode sent in the SMS along with your date of birth, postcode and NaSH number.

Cancellation

Some clinics have been set up to allow patients to cancel online using their date of birth and Ticket Number received in their appointment text reminder. Simply go to the online booking system and follow the cancellation option. Patients can also cancel appointments by phoning 01698 753848.

Booking a Home Sampling Kit online

Please visit Home STI testing and follow the information below to book your home testing kit.

You will be asked for the following information:

Initial screening questions to determine services offered

• Gender (to offer appropriate services)
• Mobile (to confirm bookings and to contact you if needed)
• Date of birth (this service is only open to those aged 18 years and above)
• Postcode (to identify suitable services)

What type of appointment would you like?

• STI self-sampling postal testing kit

To ensure that we send the correct testing kit please select the most relevant testing kit based on your genitals (not gender).

• Vaginal gonorrhoea & chlamydia only
• Penis gonorrhoea & chlamydia only

Please note we are unable to offer blood tests for HIV or Syphilis via online booking. If you require full STI testing, including blood tests, please call our appointment line on 0300 303 0251, Monday-Thursday 8am-5.45pm and Friday 8am-4pm.

Once you have selected the testing kit you would like, please book an appointment slot within that ‘clinic’. Our team will then make up your testing kit on the date of that appointment. Your kit will be posted out using First Class Royal Mail; the discreet package easily fits through standard-size letter boxes.

Important information about ordering a Postal Testing Kit

We need your address when ordering online. At Step 6 of 9 of the online ordering please ensure you tick: ‘Please check this box to enter your address and consent to be contacted by letter’. If you don’t provide your address at Step 6 of 9 we may not be able to post out your testing kit.

Weekly cap on number of kits available. Our laboratory can only manage a specific number of kits per week, which means we quickly reach our daily limit. If we have no kits available, please try again. More appointments will become available every Wednesday.

Home testing kits are not available by walking-in to the clinic. To order a home testing kit please use online booking. We are not able to provide the home testing kits in person at the department.
